The lovely exterior of this
year's Vanguard Showhouse home presents a style reminiscent of an English or
French Manor home. The old world classic feel extends throughout the interior.
The kitchen is warmed by the French Bisque cabinetry and the library would be
right at home in any fine English manor. Iron stair rails and beautiful wood,
quartz and tiling throughout help make this home a true classic.
The fine modern appliances,
workmanship, attention to detail, and numerous upgrades speak to the talents and
integrity of the modern American builder.
The combination of these
two sensibilities (classic and modern) creates the ambience that will be
reflected in the designers' approach to 245 Menlo Park. The color scheme pulls
from the rich ambers, golds, beiges and blacks found in the entry. Pale greens,
soft turquoises, and shades of rose enhance the warmth throughout the home.
Attention to detail in all the spaces will continue to enrich both the classic
lines of the home and the abilities offered by modern techniques and treatments
available through paints, textures and furnishings. The home will reflect the
old world charm of the house while using the best and latest materials and
techniques.
